How can we make the web a safer place for everybody? How can we make better websites that just help our visitors, instead of Big Tech? We know that every click by your visitor is tracked and recorded and will ultimately be processed into either marketing profiles or fodder for machine learning.
We, as the people behind the power to 30% of the web, have an enormous responsibility towards people and society.
In this talk I present practical ways to better serve only the interests of real humans. How can you best guard the privacy of your visitors? How can you prevent data leakage? Which services should you avoid, which should you embrace?
All of us can help create a better, safer web.
